Pretty in Pink

These are my friends Jeri and Dale. Jeri is the sister of one of my best friends, and you will meet no sweeter girl. She's the perfect combo of honest/sassy and just plain old sweet. Dale has been my sanity saver so many times. It usually starts with a text like this: "Dale, my air conditioning won't go below 75. I'm dying. HELP." And is followed by "LOL, I'll be there tomorrow, even if it's 10 pm." And sure enough, the next night I'm cool as a cucumber, with an ice maker fixed or washing machine filter cleaned out to-boot! If you EVER need an A/C man, you must call him. He's wonderful, reasonable and trustworthy. Thank heavens he's in my world.

AND in addition to all that above, they have such cute twins. Like I mentioned, we are friends through Jeri's brother, so I've been around them a lot. But, there are usually around 6 kids running around, so I am too over-stimulated to play with the kids besides my own. As we arrived at the farm for the photo shoot, I could tell that would be no problem. They have personalities as adorable as their little faces. "E" is talkative, inquisitive and usually beaming. "C" is quiet, observational, with the sweetest smile. Dale told me that "E" is usually with him (he's chatty) and "C" is usually with Jeri (she's not) and their personalities are a complete reflection of that. So, enough chatter from THIS chatty photographer. Here they are...

Adorable Baby "C"

Recently I got to take little miss "C"'s one-year-old pictures! You may remember her from this post a year ago. It was a beautiful afternoon/evening and we had so much fun laughing at this adorable baby girl. I really enjoyed it because I feel like my daughter was no longer a baby at one, but "C" still has so much baby in her. I have big problems with kids growing up (my grandmother always tells me "it's better than the alternative,") so I really love when the baby phase sticks around.

"C" was also funny because she was having NOTHING to do with that prickly grass nonsense. Thank heavens her beautiful mother came photo ready, so we just got a lot of their sweet relationship.
I love this sweet, latched onto mommy, restful moment.
In this bunch, she is SO excited about the hat she's throwing around. She would absolutely NOT wear the hat, but man-oh-man was it fun!

The Etheridge Family

This shoot was on one of the prettiest days of the year. Perfect temp, low humidity, and God arranged for cloud cover for the exact amount of time the shoot took. Perfection!

I know the Etheridges through a mutual friend, but hadn't seen them since before their baby boy "P" was born. Confession: I am always a little nervous before family shoots. So many people, all blinking and talking and uncomfortable- I never know what I'll get. Chalk this one up to the best yet! All 3 of these lovelies were just calm and laid back and giggly, so it turned out so wonderfully. Be prepared, there are a lot of images in this post... I just couldn't decide!

We were on a slight incline, and this one-year-old bundle of energy isn't completely steady on his feet. Mama was working hard! This one is just funny! I think he was doing yoga myself.
This leash made him so happy that it was ridiculous. Don't you wish all it took was a leash to run around with to make your day?

Aynsley's fam

This post is from a shoot in December for my friend Aynsley and her little girl. I hadn't looked at them in so long that I was so excited to see, again, how some of them turned out! Aynsley's sweet brother joined us on this very cold day and won uncle of the year award. Not to mention the picture of little girl R kissing him is one of my favorites from the day. Enjoy!

Look how much she loosened up by the time we were winding up. These last ones are my favorites, because that captures her little self.

Sweet A Fam

My long-ago friends Meg and Basheer asked me to take pictures of her extended family as a gift for her grandmother for Christmas. We got lots of LOTS of people that are wonderful for her grandmother and captured much personality and laughs! But my favorites were of Meg and Basheer's little boy. They are a really cute family and you can just see how much they all love each other. It was a delight to be a part of the big day!
