Meet Peyton and Pres... they are one of my adorable and fun June couples. They both grew up in Dothan, but didn't know each other! What are the chances? They both ended up at Samford, met, ran into each other again, and then finally got together. He is just finishing seminary/Divinity School (I don't know which is right!) at Samford, and she is about to start law school.
They are both so sweet, that I wasn't sure what sort of tone we would get with this engagement shoot. But look at this girl working it OUT! In the few moments I quit running my mouth long enough to take a picture, we got some really great stuff. Don't you think she looks like a cross between Ginnifer Goodwin and Vivian Leigh? Lucky man, that Pres. And he is too much fun. I would try to get him to not smile, which was like playing the "don't smile" game with a kid. He would just beam and then burst into laughter. However, this too translated into a great photo moment. That's what I love... the moments between the poses.
Can't wait til June 19th!

Personal Details Begin
I have always kept my personal blog separate from this blog. My personal blog is full of incredibly boring (not to me) details about my beautiful 2-year-old daughter and the adventures we take with her. I do take a lot of pictures on these adventures and during everyday living. At the suggestion of my friend Amanda Pair (talented photographer and award winning blogger) I am going to attempt to integrate some personal photos, and maybe even verbal details, on this blog. Don't unsubscribe (in fact, please SUBSCRIBE!) It won't saturate the blog, just occasionally season it.
So, here I go...
We went to the beach for Spring Break this year. We've been going to Seagrove Beach, FL since I was 7-years-old. It's an effortless, calming respite in my busy-busy-can't-say-no life. Even if the weather is cold or rainy, it's still a much welcomed break from reality. Here are some colorful moments of our trip.
One evening we headed to Seaside for dinner and people watching.
The food was actually rather disappointing (don't worry, my snow cone with cream was FAB for dessert) but this image still makes me hungry. And yes, I like salt. A lot.
Our friends Heather and James came with us, and this was NOT posed. Aren't they cute?
